The Brat is back !!! look what Vermont sports cars have built ..

This BRAT is completely unhinged—in the best way possible,” said renowned motoring enthusiast Travis Pastrana. “It has the soul of a vintage Subaru combined with the cutting-edge technology to accomplish feats no Gymkhana car has ever achieved.”

Yes, you read that right—Gymkhana is back! This popular internet car-film franchise will return with a new installment titled Aussie Shred, featuring Pastrana behind the wheel of a modified 1978 Subaru Brat.

As the name suggests, he’ll be showcasing this vehicle in Australia, earning it the nickname “Brataroo.” A bit on-the-nose, but it works! Under the bonnet this 1978 Subaru Brat, built by Vermont SportsCar, boasts a “highly  modified ” 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces an impressive 670 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque.

This engine  revs up to an astonishing 9,500 rpm—though it’s still no match for Australia’s wildlife! As the highest-revving Gymkhana car ever constructed, it channels its raw power through a six-speed sequential gearbox to all four wheels, utilizing motorsport-grade differentials.

With its design, the Brataroo is undoubtedly agile and capable of drifting. VSC has expertly crafted the body entirely of carbon fiber, mounted over a roll cage and chassis engineered to World Rally Championship (WRC) specifications. Hoonigan and Subaru enlisted the talent of Mr. Khyzyl Saleem to transform the Brat into a radical widebody, featuring a retro livery adorned with kangaroo graphics.

Interestingly, this Gymkhana car incorporates active aerodynamics. It features two interchangeable rear wings—one for high speeds and another for more playful antics—as well as movable front arch louvres that pivot to fine-tune the car’s attitude during aerial maneuvers. This vehicle is not only built for speed but can also FLY!

When it's on the floor , it rolls  on a set of forged monoblock wheels that pay homage to 1970s rallying. Inside, the cabin showcases a carbon fiber dashboard with wood grain effect.

“Every part of it is designed to withstand punishment, fly high, and return for more,” Pastrana added. “It’s hands down the craziest Gymkhana car we’ve ever created.”

This thrilling vehicle will premier on mobile screens in early December .. we certainly can't wait to see it ..
